Jackson memorial tickets available through lottery

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Fans must register online for a lottery to win tickets to the Michael Jackson memorial Tuesday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, organizers said Friday. Assistant Police Chief Earl Paysinger warned people without tickets to stay away from the Staples Center. People who do not have one of the 17,500 free tickets to be handed out should stay away and watch the event on television, Los Angeles, California, acting Mayor Jan Perry and a Los Angeles police official said.

MJ Rehearsal Recording for "This Is It" Tour hits the Net

Earlier this week, the promoter of Michael Jackson's 50-date "This is It" residency at the O2 Arena in London said there was ample footage of a Jackson rehearsal for the planned series of shows, and that he hopes to release them.

Jackson memorial to be Tuesday at Staples Center

Michael Jackson's memorial service will take place Tuesday morning in the Staples Center, the 20,000-seat coliseum in downtown Los Angeles where Jackson rehearsed his show the night before he died, according to a person who has been briefed by a representative of the family.

No Public or Private Viewing for Mike

The Jackson family say that they would not hold a public or private viewing of his body at Neverland Ranch, as had been reported. They didn't indicate where else or when such a ceremony would be held.
