After having a great evening with my son and enjoying some fun twit chat, I decided to sign off and get some work done. However, a few hours later I was advised that I should check @aliciakeys twit page. I've never reached out to her on twitter before. I feel our issues are a lot more serious than a website conversation. Not to mention that I've reached out to her many times in the beginning of this whole thing, as any wife would do. Unfortunately, I never succeeded in getting a response. The 1st time I meet AK, my husband introduced us to each other at an event. ( I have no choice but to call him my husband, until he is not anymore) In the messages that I sent to her (AK), I made it very clear that on the contrary of what she might be hearing, I am still married to my husband, living with him and just had a child. Its been two years and I still have not received a response. What I do receive, is constant displays of selfishness and disconcern to me and my son.

I was a fan of AK's last album, we were both signed to J Records and I always checked up on her projects. I sang her songs and admired her for creating Superwoman and Karma, I would never deny her, her talent. I believed in her until I found out she was possibly sleeping with my husband. The affair was denied by both, until it was finally admitted months later.

Already I can hear some of you saying " why are u blaming her, You cant make someone leave their wife, You cant break something thats broken". Well, my marriage was not broken, as far as I knew we were celebrating our sons birth and getting ready to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary . Call it blind love, whatever. I call it being a devoted wife.. As far as me blaming her and not blaming him, thats false. Me and my husband have worked out our differences. We are in a good place as people and as parents. I accept his choices and I am comfortable enough with myself to move on. I am so very blessed in many ways.

My concern with AK is no longer the fact that she assisted in destroying a family but that she has the audacity to make these selfish comments about love and wanting to be with someone, even after knowing their situation. How is this the same Superwoman that I sang out loud with in my truck? I ask myself sometimes.

If you are reading this Alicia, let me start by saying, you know what you did. You know the role you played and you know how you contributed to the ending of my marriage. You know that I asked you to step back and let me handle my family issues. Issues that you helped to create.
Im not saying everything was perfect all the time but no relationship is perfect. We made a vow to God and I believe you should have respected that, as a woman. I know you owe me or my son nothing but I just wish you would've handled things more carefully. I'm not judging you, I put you and the whole situation in the hands of God, the Higher Power. Just know that as a woman, I expected so much more from you. I never had intentions on reaching out to you this way but after reading your twits tonight, and the constant disregard, you left me no choice. I feel that after 1 and a half years of you hiding this affair and acting like it doesnt exist, that now is the time to confront it, since you talk so openly about it now

This is not a publicity stunt, I dont have a record coming out. I just need to close this chapter in my life and that means confronting our issues. There is a small child involved. His dad loves him to death and he wants to spend more time with him but hes afraid because he knows we don't have a relationship. This is my main concern. My son NEEDS his dad and I NEED to be comfortable with you. For him!

I know many will see my point and many will not be able to look into what's real because they only want to see Alicia Keys the celebrity, not the human. This is not for the "people", this is for you. Like I said I was left no choice but to reach out to you this way. By now, Im sure you want to find a balance in this as well.

I read your tweets tonight and I felt they were very insensitive. You have no idea how much pain I was caused because of this affair. Its baffling to me that you don't understand what I might have gone through with this situation. I dont consider myself a victim anymore, Ive learned alot from this! I just ask you to try and be a bit more realistic and delicate to the situation, at least until my divorce is final. I felt me attending the party would have been a starting point for us, since you shook my hand after I offered it, but I suppose I was wrong.

If its so, that you and my husband are meant to be together, then God bless you both and I hope you never have to deal with what I did. I would not wish it on my worst enemy. If you two being together forever is the case, its more of a reason for us to get along, because I'm not going anywhere. Theres a child to be raised.

It was 1997 when I use to work at the Blockbuster Music Store in North Gate Mall Durham, NC. It was crazy. I use to always look forward to new release Tuesday when we put out the new music. This particular day I was geeked to get this new Ep from Michael Jackson called “Blood on The Dance Floor.” I broke that seal quick only to find out the it wasn’t the greatest and didn’t do a lot for fans either.

Fast forward to last night, 12 years later. I was listening to a few online shows and caught one where they mentioned the same EP but a different track. The track is called “Morphine” and it’s pretty telling. I’m really surprised that more folks aren’t talking about it; news or otherwise. "8 Mile" Actor Commits Suicide

De'Angelo Wilson, the Dayton bred actor who portrayed the role of 'DJ Iz' in Eminem's debut film 8 Mile, reportedly committed suicide in Los Angeles late last month.

According to the Dayton Daily News, Wilson hung himself in the back room of a Los Angeles business on November 26th. He was 29.

Wilson's mother revealed to The Dayton Daily News that her son had become depressed because he couldn't score other movie roles after appearing in two major films, 8 Mile and Antwone Fisher.

"His career kind of failed, and I think he was beating himself up. Things were real down and he just didn't know how to pick himself up," said Wilson's mother, Debra. "I talked to him about a month and a half ago, he wasn't good ... I was real worried about him."

During the filming of Antwone Fisher, Wilson established a relationship with the real-life Antwone Fisher who described Wilson as a friendly person.

"He was a good guy, a fun guy, a great guy to be around." Fisher said. "It's just really hard to understand."

Company to unveil the Funk Master Flex autographed card, the first ever awarded to a DJ.

Topps has remained the leading name in sports cards since debuting in 1938. The company now manufactures cards for Major League Baseball, the NFL, and the NBA.

Also a giant in the confectionary market, Topps' brand names include Bazooka bubble gum, Rung Pop, Push Pop, Baby Bottle Pop, and Juicy Drop Pop.

According to Topps Director of Product Development Clay Luraschi, these achievements enticed Topps to secure Flex for the launch of their Mayo Football line, due out next month.

God's honest truth, for real, we came in there feeling good, if you [look] at the beginning of the videotapes, it will show we didn't come on no hostility. When the disrespect started coming, we was eating it, then it got blatantly out of hand. That's when it all happened.

When anybody was performing, we was up, moving around, we was rocking to Lo. He was doing his thing. Now when the dis song happened, I was like, 'What is dude doing?' When I looked up, I seen the dude onstage with a chair in his hand, then I noticed it, somebody with us, a female, she was holding her face. Then I ran towards them. My attempt was to not fight, but to go up there and say, 'Somebody with you hit this girl.' By that time they had my man Kuntry in cuffs.

I could have jumped from one table to the next, it really wasn't that far apart, probably about four or five feet. It was close enough that the drink in his hand could have splashed on me. I stepped down from the table, somebody said to something to me. I seen three or four more dudes like they gonna do me bodily harm. My first reaction — me being who I am, I am a funny dude, but hey, I can wake up — was to smack the dude. I didn't punch him, I smacked him. I swung on the other dudes, they started swinging. Grand Hustle didn't have nothing to do with that situation. It was on Alfamega.

I embarrassed, y'all, certain people were subjected to the pepper spray. By them trying to spray me, that lingering fumes got other people. I'm embarrassed by the whole situation."

Funeral Arrangements For MC Breed Announced

Rapper MC Breed will be laid to rest on Tuesday (December 2) in Flint, Michigan, the family has announced.

The rapper will be laid to rest at the House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church in Flint Michigan.

Memorial services will take place from 12 - 2:00 PM. MC Breed, born Eric Breed, was born June 12, 1971, in Flint, Michigan.

Breed was hospitalized in September, after he collapsed from kidney failure during a pickup basketball game.

It is the season of giving...at least for several folks that have received pardons from exiting President Bush. Fourteen people received a pardon from President George Bush and the sentences of two others were reduced. Among those receiving commutations was rap singer John Forte, who was charged with intent to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine. He was sentenced to 168 months in prison and five years supervised release. His prison term will now end on Dec. 22 of this year, and his release will still be supervised.

Those receiving pardons were not nationally-known and included persons convicted of marijuana use, unauthorized acquisition of food stamps and bank embezzlement. Still unknown is how many more pardons and commutations the President may grant before he leaves office.

The mother of R&B superstar found dead inside a home in Chicago's South Side

According to SOHH.COM...The mother of R&B superstar Jennifer Hudson was found dead inside a home in Chicago's South Side neighborhood.According to the Associated Press, a shooting took place around 3 p.m. EST today (October 24) at an undisclosed home at the 70th Street area. The Hudson family's church pastor, Willie Davis, has confirmed that the singer's mother, Darnell Hudson Donnerson, was one of the victims.

While details are still coming in from the Cook County Medical Examiner's office, the Chicago Fire Department has said the remaining body was a man and many believe it to be Hudson's brother.

No answer has been provided for the cause of the shooting, but reports are claiming it was a domestic dispute.

The R&B superstar was recently featured in the hit movie The Secret Lives of Bees which which made its debut in theaters last weekend. The film also stars Alicia Keys and Queen Latifah.

Comedian Bernie Mac has Died

Comedian Bernie Mac has died at the age of 50 after an extended bout with pneumonia, according to sources with AllHipHop.com.

Mac was in Northwestern Memorial hospital when he died on Saturday morning. No official cause of death has been announced by his family.
After rumors of his death, his condition seemed to improve. Mac’s publicist stated that he was “responding well to treatment” and that he expected to leave the Chicago-area facility in a few weeks.

He passed away at approximately 5:45 am on Saturday, according to sources.
Bernie Mac, who started doing standup in clubs around Chicago in the 1970’s, was discovered after he won a Miller Lite comedy search, which led to regular appearances on Russell Simmons’ Def Comedy Jam in 1992.

“He was one of the sweetest funniest people on the planet,” Def Comedy Jam Founder Russell Simmons told AllHipHop.com. "We (Def Comedy team) knew he was a star the minute we saw him. He was loved by millions He will be missed.”
Mac also lived with sarcoidosis, an immune system disorder that results in swollen, inflamed lymph nodes, causes ulcers on the skin and also makes breathing difficult.
Representatives for Bernie Mac said previously that he was not hospitalized for complications associated with sarcoidosis.

“Bernie Mac will not only be missed by his family members and close friends, he will also be missed by the thousands of people he touch through his laughter. Please keep his family in your prayers,” said Kendra G, a Chicago bred radio host that now resides in Philadelphia.
Bernie Mac will be remembered for his brash, but frank comedic style that was a staple in the Black community.

His on-stage musings quickly went mainstream through his television sitcom, “The Bernie Mac Show” and a storied music career.

Police Officers Aquitted in Groom's Shooting Death

Three New York City Police Detectives were aquitted of all charges in the shooting death of an unarmed man on his wedding day.

Detectives Michael Oliver and Gescard Isnora were found not guilty of charges of manslaughter, assault and reckless endangerment in the death of Sean Bell, 23, and the wounding of two of his friends. Detective Marc Cooper was acquitted of reckless endangerment.

Sean Bell was killed on his wedding day, November 25, 2006 in a 50-bullet barrage from police. He and several friends were winding up an all-night bachelor party at the Kalua Club in Queens, a strip club that was under investigation by a NYPD undercover unit looking into complaints of guns, drugs and prostitution.

If you remember the 1960s then you probably know Bill Cosby as a stand-up comedien or maybe you remember the TV action show "I Spy". Perhaps you recall the sitcom "The Cosby Show" or "The Electric Company" children's show. Maybe "Fat Albert and The Cosby Kids" rings a bell when you hear the name Bill Cosby? If you are more of an 80s or 90s type person you will remember "The Cosby Show" or "Kids Say The Darndest Things". You probably have seen Bill Cosby promoting Jell-O Pudding. However, I don't believe you would associate him with rap and hip-hop.

I never thought I would see the words hip-hop and Bill Cosby in the same sentence, but the 70-year-old has recorded a hip-hop album which is due to be released in May. His album entitled, "Cosby Narratives Vol. 1: State of Emergency" is a mixture of hip-hop, pop and jazz along with some of the comedian's stories.

Cosby does not actually rap on any of the songs, all of that is done by guest rappers. The theme of the album is the value of an education and raising your self-esteem. It's pretty much the opposite of the rap we usually hear.

I think it will be interesting to see what Cosby comes up with.

Rumors are flying everywhere that Beyonce & Jay-Z got married last weekend in New York. Over the past 5 or 6 years both the high-profile stars have been saying they are not a couple. Now they allegedly applied for a marriage license in Scarsdale, NY and got married at Jay-Z's apartment in Manhattan!

None of their peeps have given any official word yet about this but there was a big party going on in Jay-Z's penthouse with lots of celebrities in attendance Friday night.
Do you believe they got married? Maybe the big party at Jay-Z's pad was just to celebrate the $150 million deal he just signed with Live Nation? Who really knows?

Beware of Fake Designer Jeans

If you are going to spend hundreds of dollars for a pair of jeans, you would hope that they are the real deal! Apparently, this hasn't been the case in nearby Goldsboro.

The Sheriff's Office siezed fake True Religion brand jeans and over $80,000 in counterfeit items form two Goldsboro stores last week. Besides the True Religion jeans; DVDs, Nike shoes, game system software, sweatsuits and other items were also siezed.

According to the Goldsboro News-Argus the Sheriff's Office seized the goods from the Hip Hop Spot on North Spence Avenue and The Urban Collection on East Elm Street. The stores' owners will face felony-level charges.

Rapper Pimp C one half of the legendary Rap Group UGK was found dead early tuesday morning in Los Angles hotel room. The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a 911 call. 33 years old Chad Butler (his real name) was reportedly dead when officers arrived on the scene. Few details were available.

Recently the group picked up some trophys at BET's Hip-Hop Awards. They won Best Collaboration with Outkast and Video of the Year for "International Players Anthem".

Jive Records' President and CEO Barry Weiss states: "We mourn the unexpected loss of Chad. He was truly a thoughtful and kind-hearted person. He will be remembered for his talent and profound influence as a pioneer in bringing southern rap to the forefront. He will be missed and our prayers remain with his family and Bun B. Washington Redskins Safety Sean Taylor Died Early Tuseday Morning.

The Radio One family extends our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and fans of Sean Taylor.

Miami native Sean Taylor was pronounced dead early Tuesday Morning, at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. Sean Taylor was a graduate of University of Miami where he was a great safety and later was drafted to the Washington Redskins. Sean Taylor was shot at his Palmetto Bay home early Monday morning in the upper part of his leg where he suffered massive blood loss from a severed femoral artery. After surgery Sean Taylor was said to be responsive to doctors which gave his family a little hope. But he passed away early in that morning.Sean was home resting from a knee injury he suffered in one of the Redskins football games.

Police are investigating the home invasion and murder of Sean Taylor. Sean Taylor is survived by his high school sweetheart Jackie Garcia, eight-teen month old daughter named Jackie, and his family. Please leave any thoughts and comments for his family and friends.

Washington Redskins' safety Sean Taylor was shot in his Palmetto Bay home in Florida on Monday and was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital. No official news has been released as to his condition.

Taylor is know as one of the NFL's hardest hitters and leads his team with five interceptions. He has missed the last couple of games due to a knee injury.

The police are investigating the shooting and the motive is not known yet.

You can take the man outa da hood, but you can't take da hood outa da man! Here is a guy that found a way out and had a good thing going on...then he does something like this? What's up with that?

Rapper T.I. was arrested on Oct. 13th, 2007 and charged with possession of three unregistered machine guns and two silencers. He was also charged with possession of firearms by a convicted felon.

On Oct. 26th a judge ordered T.I. released from jail and confined to house arrest. T.I. posted $3 million bond and has to pay for a 24-hour monitoring service while he is confined to his mansion. He can only leave to attend his trial or for medical reasons.

If convicted T.I. faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000.00 fine for each charge. I guess we won't be seeing T.I. on tour again anytime soon.

Michael Vick - What Was He Thinking?

Another celebrity making the news for all the wrong reasons. Former Atlanta Falcon's quarterback Michael Vick had a great career going on and lucrative deals for endorsements. What was he thinking? Dog fighting - not a good thing!

Now in addition to the dog fighting charges, Vick is being sued by a couple of banks for failure to repay some big loans he took out for automobiles and real estate purchases. According to Associated Press reports the two banks are 1st Source Banks and Royal Bank of Canada.

Personally, I love dogs and I think running a dog fighting ring is a horrible offense; it won't bother me one little bit if Vick ends up in prison because of this! (That's just my own personal opinion.)

GET ON THE BUS: 'Jena Six' Buses to Roll from Durham; Will Join Thousands for Civil Rights Rally in Jena, Louisiana.

(Durham, NC) At least three charter buses will be leaving for Jena, Louisiana, on September 19 to join thousands of others in a rally in support of the first of the Jena Six to be sentenced for an attack on a white high school student. Mychal Bell, 17, faces up to 22 years in prison after being convicted of aggravated second-degree battery. Four 18-year-olds and a juvenile who round out the Jena Six are awaiting trial on attempted murder and conspiracy charges.
North Carolina buses will leave for Jena on September 19. They will be in Jena the next day for the sentencing of Bell. North Carolinians will join thousands of others from Atlanta, Dallas, Washington D.C, Birmingham, Tallahassee and dozens of other cities in a protest rally outside the LaSalle Parish Courthouse.

The Rev. Al Sharpton criticized Jena officials in early August, saying the attempted murder charges leveled against six black teens show "one rule for white kids and one for black kids."

About the Jena Six

The Jena Six are six black students, ranging from 15 to 17 years old. They attended Jena High School in Central Louisiana before being arrested in December 2006, after racial slurs and taunts led to school fight in which a white student was beaten and suffered a concussion and multiple bruises. The six black students were charged with attempted murder and conspiracy. They face up to 100 years in prison without parole. The fight took place amid mounting racial tension after a black student sat under the "white tree" in the schoolyard where only white students sat. The next day three nooses were hanging from the tree.

An all-white jury took less than two days to convict 17 year-old Mychal Bell, the first of the Jena Six to go on trial. He was convicted of aggravated battery and conspiracy charges and now faces up to 22 years in prison. Before the schoolyard fight, white students had beaten and taunted black students in other race-based incidents, yet received little or no punishment. Jena is 85 percent white.

About the Bus Trip

Tickets for the round-trip bus ride are $120 per person , and include a restaurant stop just outside Jean before the rally. (No money is to be spent on gas, food or beverages inside the Jena city limits. Buses will depart at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, and arrive around 6 a.m. on the 20th, returning the same day, after the conclusion of the 9 a.m. court hearing.

To date, there are three charter buses on reserve, and they are filling up fast. Buses will depart from the Wal-Mart parking lot, 3500 N. Roxboro St., Durham. Vehicles will be secured by the Durham Police Department. Local churches, restaurants and organizations are pledging donations of food and drink. Banners on each bus will indicate riders are from the Triangle region of North Carolina. Each rider will also be given a t-shirt.

A deposit of $60 is required ASAP. Make checks or money orders payable to Vanessa Williams, and mail to 5825 Sandstone Drive, Durham, NC 27713. You will receive a receipt for your deposit; be sure to include a return address.

Ya'll have seen the news...Barry Bonds hit homerun #756 which makes him the HOME RUN KING! He has broken Hank Aaron's record -- WAY TO GO BARRY!

But wait just a minute now...

We want to know if you think Barry should be the homerun king. What about all the controversy and allegations about steroid usage? Have we forgotten about that? If he was using steroids then does he still deserve to hold the title or should he be disqualified?

Is America just going to look the other way and ignore the fact that rules were broken here if Barry was using the drugs? Are we saying it's okay to cheat and use steroids to build your body up in sports?

I give Barry his "props", he is a great ball player, but I can't just sit back and watch without saying something about the drug issue!

Wasn't Me!!!

Eddie Murphy was seen leaving a lawyer's office in Beverly Hills where he reportedly underwent a paternity test. Remember Scary Spice from the Spice Girls? She claims Eddie is the father of her baby, Iris-Angel Murphy Brown.

You can check out the birth certificate here. Murphy is saying he doesn't believe the baby is his, but Mel B. gave her daughter the last name Murphy. If you look at birth certificate you will see the space for father's name has been left blank!

Murphy and the former Spice Girl did go together but split up month's before the baby was born. What do you say? Is Eddie Murphy the dad?
